About the project

For this newly retired New Orleans couple, comfort and simplicity were the heart of the vision. After years in the same home, they wanted to transform their outdated  bathroom into a traditional and refined retreat — a place where each morning could begin in calm and every evening could end in comfort. They dreamed of a traditional and timeless design that blended elegance with ease of use — warm lighting, natural materials, and a layout that felt open, relaxing, and easy to move through.

Project execution

We began by stripping away the dated tile, framed shower, and heavy finishes to create a clean, open foundation. A freestanding clawfoot tub was placed beneath the arched window as the focal point, evoking a sense of luxury and nostalgia while remaining highly functional. The shower was rebuilt with seamless glass and brass fixtures, providing both accessibility and style.

Soft, layered lighting was added to create warmth, complemented by natural tones of marble and oak for an elevated yet welcoming aesthetic. Every detail — from the placement of fixtures to the height of cabinetry — was carefully designed for comfort and longevity, resulting in a serene, timeless space that reflects the ease and elegance of retirement living.
