A dated layout was replaced with an airy, porcelain-tiled retreat featuring brass fixtures, sleek lines, and modern elegance
For this New Orleans condo owner, the goal was to bring a dated, builder-grade bathroom into the modern era without losing its warmth and functionality. The original space — complete with beige tile, chrome fixtures, and a bulky vanity — felt tired and closed in. The vision was to create a clean, contemporary space that felt open, refined, and effortlessly functional, using durable materials and timeless design choices that would look just as elegant a decade from now.

We began by removing the outdated tile, bulky vanity, and small built-in shower to create an open, seamless layout. A full-width walk-in shower with a glass partition became the focal point, balancing elegance and function. Porcelain tile was used throughout — chosen for its durability, low maintenance, and subtle texture that mimics natural stone.
A floating vanity with integrated sink and matte brass fixtures adds modern sophistication while keeping the design light and airy. The wall-mounted toilet maximizes floor space and enhances the minimalist aesthetic. Soft, diffused lighting and large windows fill the room with natural brightness, completing a transformation that feels calm, contemporary, and timeless.
